Kayak day tours

Join us on a day of sea kayaking in the remote Broughton Archipelago. The adventure starts from the Historic town of Telegraph Cove where we will pick you up in our water taxi and transport you to our base on Comton Island. From there we will explore the many Islands that make up the stunning archipelgo. If we are lucky we will see humpback whales, kil

No, we don’t require you to know anything about kayaking before you come on one of our trips. We go over all the basics with you – detailed safety procedures and paddle lessons – before you go out on the water. In addition, all our excursions are guided, as we know the best kayaking destinations and how to get to and from them safely.

Please note: If you are on one of our four day tours, the kayaking portion is included in the price of the tour.

Our kayak routes

At Orca Dreams we like to offer our kayaking guests something special and different. Some of the very best kayaking areas on our coast are inaccessable to most kayak groups due to their remote nature. With our ability to transport kayaks we can take you to these special places, areas where even the most experienced kayakers would only dream of going. That's the Orca Dreams difference.

  • Paddle Remote Island groups
  • Avoid the crowds of Johnstone Strait
  • Thousands of Islands not thousands of people
  • humpback whales at our door step all summer long
  • killer whales from mid July until September

“One of the best experience in my life!”

The labyrinth

An explorer’s dream

Kayaks get us close to nature in a way that other boats just can’t match. Paddling is an ideal introduction to the hundreds of islands that make up the Broughton Archipelago. We’ll take you along waterways that open into rock gardens, private coves and beaches – and a rich intertidal life awaiting discovery. Kayaking puts you within arm’s reach of sea urchins, starfish and sea cucumbers, and gives you a whole new world to explore.
